Summary

In 1975 medieval pottery sherds were found during the laying of drains in the garden here. A coin of Elizabeth I was discovered very close by.

1975. Found in garden soil about 38cm (15 inches) deep, while laying drain.
Early medieval sherds, unglazed, including rims and sherds of sagging bases.
In same garden, silver groat of Elizabeth I 1574, identified by 'a Norwich coin dealer'.
