Summary

The soilmark of a square enclosure is visible on an Ordnance Survey vertical aerial photograph of the area. In 1997 the earthworks of the enclosure were investigated and a channel and possible causeway were noted. In addition, two medieval unglazed pottery sherds were recovered from within the enclosure.

1997. Slight earthworks still exist of an approximately 0.5ha moated enclosure, with a slight channel heading from the northwest corner, and a possible causeway on north side. Area has been levelled, ploughed and is now set-aside, with considerable gravelly area on east side of platform of probable natural origin.
Pottery within enclosure. Two medieval unglazed body sherds.
