Full Description
September 1948. 76m (250ft) northwest of church in filling in trench for sewer.
A copper alloy pin with facetted head and dot and circle decoration. ?From former extension of graveyard.
Middle Saxon mid 7th to mid 9th century (compare with example from Whitby).

See also (S4) - finds in BM dates 657-867 A.D. Fig.14, bottom row, 4th from left dot and circles on sides too-exact parallel to Loddon. Fig.13.4 shows all the general features, faceting, slight moulding at neck, etc.
