A cropmark of a ring ditch has previously been recorded at this location (TM 3435 9333). In the past there has been considerable confusion over the location of the ring ditch cropmarks in this area. Where the same cropmark has been seen in different years, this has led to some duplication of HER records. This location is too distant on the aerial photograph taken by [1] in 1963 for any cropmarks to be seen clearly (S1). No cropmarks are present at this location on any other aerial photographs held at the Norfolk Air Photo Library. Although other cropmarks seen at the same time (NHER 10625-6) were incorrectly located and later duplicated by other HER records that does not appear to be the case with this site. The mention above that it is cut by a hedge shows that the cropmark must have been located at the edge of the field. The grid reference for this site has been amended from TM 3433 9332 to TM 3435 9333 based on the information on (S2).
J. Albone (NMP), 07 July 2006.
