Summary

This is the site of a medieval moat that is marked on the Burston tithe map. The south and east sides are still wet whilst the north and west sides have been filled in and can be seen as depressions.

Moat (Crown Farm).
On (S1) south and east sides wet, north and west dry. West side wet on (S2).
E. Rose (NLA).

Only south and east arms now remain. These approximately 3.5m wide, 1.5m deep, masked by undergrowth. North and west arms seen as slight depression in orchard.
