Summary

This is the site of a mound which was initially thought to be a Bronze Age round barrow, but was later confirmed as a natural geological feature.

October 1975. Possible barrow seen from train.
Beaker sherds previously found nearby (NHER 5595). Probably not barrow but sandy knoll some 50m x 20m. Similar knoll at east end of field. Ground undulates dramatically as in typical Breck. Under young cereal.

Agree probably natural, an aeolian feature like many others in area, though this one is the most barrowlike of them.
