Full Description
Linear soilmark noted by A. Gregory (NAU) from Ordnance Survey aerial photograph.
Vanishes in wood, but visible where crosses track, then reappears on battlefield as double line. Possibility considered that this is a modern pipeline - note south end is by a well now filling a modern reservoir - but no trace of clearance in woods, and on battlefield the mark crosses a deep north-to-south depression. No trace on ground; no road on Faden on this course.
Site visited by E. Rose (NAU), 20 September 1978.
