Summary

A Neolithic chipped flint axehead was found by chance at this location during the 1950s. Metal-detecting in 2021 recovered Roman and medieval coins and a number of other metal objects, including an undatable copper alloy vessel fragment and copper alloy rod; a Late Saxon bridle bit link; a medieval buckle or strap end fragment and lead seal matrix and a medieval/post-medieval harness hook.
