Summary

A Neolithic polished flint axehead was found here in stubble in 1976. It may have been moved here with soil taken from the churchyard (NHER 7661).

Polished flint axe, but with flake-scars clearly visible.
Bevelled one side of cutting edge - resharpened?
15.4cm long, maximum width 5.1cm.
Possibly from soil dumped here from west end of parish church (NHER 7661).
