Summary

In 1923 a large Neolithic flaked flint axehead that had been dug up in Eaton was exhibited to the Prehistoric Society of East Anglia in Norwich by the finder.

5 February 1923. 'Probably the largest Neolithic implement yet found in Norfolk' dug up at Eaton, was exhibited to the Prehistoric Society of East Anglia in Norwich by finder.
Of 'Cissbury flint mining type', flat-based, 6.35cm (2.5in) wide, almost 30cm (1ft) long, 8.9cm (3.5in) high, weiging over 4.5lbs.
