Full Description
1976. Air Photography.
A cropmark consisting of two parallel lines was identified in aerial photographs. The feature appears to be a former road, continuing the line of Sorrell Lane to Spong Plantation and in part following field a boundary on map.

Cropmarks of a former road or track of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S5). Two parallel ditch cropmarks are intermittently present for a distance of approximately 400m on a southwest to northeast alignment. These cropmarks appear to relate to a road that is marked on Faden’s 1797 county map (S6). It is not shown on Bryant’s county map of 1826 (S7) and had presumably been removed by that date.
