Summary
Aerial photography revealed the cropmarks of an undated rectangular enclosure. Metal detecting in 1990 recovered a relatively rare Viking age silver ingot, and a fragment of Saxon pottery was found in 1991.

Cropmarks of rectangular enclosures in this field.
E. Rose (NAU), 19 October 1976.
November 1990. Metal detecting near west edge, midway down.
Silver ingot, weight 8.81g. Viking age, see extract from (S1) in file. (S2) in the Illustration Library.
May 1991. Field under recently tractor hoed beet.
One base sherd pimply Ipswich Ware. NCM.
