Full Description
Field north of road and northwest of barn (demolished) marked on (S1). Cropmark of large rectangular enclosure containing two smaller subovoid enclosures.

The undated rectilinear enclosure described above is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S2-S3). Only one convincing ‘subovoid’ enclosure was identified within it, an elongated curvilinear ditch or enclosure at its western end; any other marks appeared to be of geological rather than archaeological origin. It has been suggested that the enclosure could relate to the site of a Second World War ‘Q’ type bombing decoy (NHER 32417).
