Full Description
Pre 1952. Stray Find.
Quartzite pebble macehead with hour glass perforation, found at Snarehill (Brettenham). Information from (S1). According to (S1) this object was given to Thetford Museum, although no record of this object appears to exist.
These objects are not closely datable, simple pebble types such as this having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts. See (S2) for a discussion of this class of object.
