Full Description
1976. Stray Find.
Found on field surface:
1 Neolithic chipped flint axe, 5.2cm maximum width, 16.9cm minimum length. End broken in antiquity (impurity in flint inside). Made from a wide thick blade? See drawing (S1).
Also a number of waste flakes, not necessarily human.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 3 August 2014.
1977. On same site on field surface.
Long pointed blade with blunting retouch down one edge, and other flints including scrapers.
Only blade seen at NCM.
25 March 1986.
More worked flint.
