Summary

Harvesting work in 1976 recovered the first part of a small hoard of Bronze Age axeheads. The remainder were recovered during metal detecting activities in 2004, along with a number of medieval and post medieval metal objects and a post medieval coin.

October 1976. [1]. Casual find.
Three socketed axes found in harvesting potatoes. Two found at same time; third in adjacent run of harvester. Field ploughed deeper for potatoes indicated possible interpretation that this is a disturbed hoard.
One axe is plain (S1), one axe is facetted (S2), one axe with three pellet on each face (S1).

26 August 2004. Metal detecting. Discovery Tours Field 5, extended to whole field.
Two Late Bronze Age socketed axeheads additional to above hoard.
Post medieval coin.
A few medieval and post medieval metal objects.

The two socketed axeheads were acquired by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2005.351).
