Summary

A prehistoric flint flake, and a Neolithic flint arrowhead, and pottery fragments dating from the late Prehistoric to the medieval periods, have been found by fieldwalking.

Fine laurel-leaf Neolithic flint arrowhead.

Whole field rapidly walked, Context 2, by A. Rogerson (NAU) in good conditions.
1 Late Nene Valley colour coated sherd 4th century; 1 rim sherd shelly, Roman or medieval; 3 medieval unglazed; 1 glazed Grimston; 1 flint flake.
BB4 at TF 7195 0381, Context 3.
A concentration of Roman pottery and some tile, found in medium conditions.
Late 2nd century plain and decorated Samian; unusual lattice and combed decorated storage jar; Oxfordshire red colour coated; predominantly 2nd to 4th century; 1 prehistoric flint-gritted sherd.
Identified A. Gregory (NAU) and A. Rogerson (NAU).
