Full Description
1971. Stray Find.
Several object found in adjacent fields north of River Wissey and south of Black Drain:
1 prehistoric stone macehead with hourglass perforation. This is probably what would now be described as a pebble mace. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
1 Neolithic polished flint axe.
1 Bronze Age copper alloy palstave.
Information from (S1). These discoveries were reported by [1] and were noted in (S2), which mentions that they were drawn by the King's Lynn Museum (although no copies are held by the HES).
