Summary

Two late 15th century timber framed houses with 18th and 19th century facades and other alterations. The two houses are joined by a 15th century stone archway that leads to a passage between the houses. The ground floor of these buildings has been used as shops for most of the 20th century, with the upper storeys being domestic accommodation.

Revised (S1) 1993 adds that the pointed arch is set behind a rounded one. Passage crossed by beams that continue into houses. Window with iron cullis. Some timber framing.
