Full Description
Before June 1971. Casual discovery and field observation.
Grimston aquamanile fragment in the form of a horse and rider, found by workmen at 'a depth of 1.2m to 1.8m (4 to 6 feet) in black soil'.
Subsequent observation of the highly disturbed levels cut by the trench produced no evidence for medieval street surfacing.
See (S1).
A. Carter (KLAS), amended by A. Cattermole (King's Lynn UAD), 14 January 2019.
