An early 19th century house of two storeys with an original rear extension of one and a half storeys. The walls are brick and the front is flint faced with brick quoins, eaves cornice, and window and door dressings. The windows have segmental heads. The two flanking the front door and the two above have hung sash windows, and there is a blind over the front door. The door itself was a semi-circular headed door case with a fan light.
See (S2) for further details.

November 2004.
Plans are in place to reinstate steel railings along the street front, as depicted in an early 20th century photograph (source unknown). An accompanying plan of the building (S3) depicts two ground floor rooms separated by a passage, with an end chimney stack to the north and a corner chimney stack to the southeast. It also depicts a catslide with minor rooms and stairs. Contemporary photographs (S4) record the building's appearance prior to installation of the railings.
See (S3) and (S4) for further details.
Updated H. Hamilton (NLA), 23 July 2008.
