Summary

Several rectangular ditched enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The enclosures may relate to an area of deserted medieval settlement close to St Peter's Church, NHER 9134.

Earthworks and cropmarks of the probable deserted medieval village of Morley St Peter are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3).
The linear ditches and banks, probably representing field boundaries and possible settlement platforms, are centred on TM 0644 9835, and cover an area of approximately 540m by 315m.
They include an area of possible ridge and furrow, measuring 121 by 218m, centred on TM 0649 9821.
The field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on some photographs (S4), along with a number of non-archaeological features which have not been mapped.
