Map

1973 to 1977.
Cropmarks of 'native settlement' (St Joseph's term for Iron Age sites) claimed on his list of air photographs at this very approximate grid reference. Copies in NAU show grid reference is correct.

Rectangular enclosures and others of irregular shape; and one large distinct double-ditched enclosure with off-centre double ditched dividing arm, somewhat similar in appearance to that at Gallows Hill, Thetford.
E. Rose (NAU), 15 December 1982.

It is possible that the site mentioned by St Joseph (of Cambridge University Committee for Aerial Photography) is in fact NHER 7955. [1]
R. Fillery-Travis (HEP), 19th January 2007.
