Summary

In 1856 'in a gravel pit at Bintree' a 'stone hammerhead' was found, together with fragments of a quern. These objects are undated, although the 'hammerhead' is probably prehistoric.

In 1856 'in a gravel pit at Bintree' a 'stone hammerhead' was found, together with fragments of a quern made of 'agglomerate of agate'. They passed into the hands of Lord Amherst of Hackney.
