Summary

Investigations of this area during the 1980s-90s recovered a variety of objects. Finds included Iron Age pottery sherds, two Roman finger rings, ten Roman coins, an Early Saxon buckle and possible Early Saxon pottery sherds.

Roman bronze finger ring, round section hoop, slightly expanded bezel, defined by vertical lines.
Roman bronze finger ring, enamel around snake mofif?, 3rd to 4th century. Henig type XIII.
