Summary

In 1977 part of a human skull was found in dredgings from the dyke. It was identified as belonging to a young adult male and was thought to be of some antiquity.

Human right parietal bone, scarred by air-gun pellets. Unfused sutures, young adult male with bone showing possible traces of infection.Bone partly mineralised so likely to be of some antiquity.
