Summary

Post-medieval pottery, clay pipes and animal bones were found when the floor of the Albert Victor public house (NHER 46911) was lowered in 1977.

Albert Victor Public House (NHER 46911).
In lowering the floor by 30cm, a quantity of animal bone (ox, sheep, bird) and glazed pottery found with one coin (George III halfpenny). Pottery includes Staffordshire slipware, Cistercian ware, and other green glazed sherds.
Late 17th/early 18th century.
Clay pipes also found.
