Map

July 1977.
Pleasant brick thatched cottage, two bays, two storeys.
Gable walls in 17th century chequered brickwork, as is an outbuilding, but stepped gables and façade including windows with brick mullions are 19th century imitations.
Very good condition.
E. Rose (NAU) 13 July 1977.

Aug 2006.
Building seen only in passing but the chequered brickwork appeared to have horizontal skintlings, which first appear in the late 18th century. Certainly, several other buildings in the area have similar brickwork with such skintlings and have been altered in the 19th century by having stepped gables, etc. added.
E. Rose (NLA), 29 August 2006.
