Summary

A spread of flint, brick and pantiles was noted in 1977, associated with fragments of medieval pottery, on three distinct house platforms in a ploughed field.

So-called doorstep remains undisturbed.
Supposed site of one of three manors of Sparham, according to informant [1] who farms the land.

Field now under pasture grazed by horses. To west of church, new housing. Post rail fence has intruded slightly into field.
