19 January 1978. Visited.
This bridge is not the scheduled one.
Now modern concrete but has two brick arches remaining, probably 17th or 18th century.
At west end remains of a tank obstacle.
E. Rose (NAU).

N.B. (S1)'s sketch in file places tank obstacle to the east of the river.
P. Aldridge (NLA) 26 August 2005.

The tank obstacle consists of two common anti tank blocks of about 1940 on either side of bridge. Part of Bure defensive line.
Survey No. G4-4.
Information from (S1). See record form in file.
D.Walker (NLA) July 1996.

In fact the brickwork of the bridge is likely to be 18th/19th century. It is however an interesting example as the two side arches are circular 'pipes' of brickwork. Tank trap still present.
E.Rose (NLA), 23 December 1998.
