Full Description
Probable location, but changes in wood make exact site difficult to plot.
Marshes marked on (S1) gone.
Earthworks, rough irregular massive banks, about 1.2m high, forming rough semicircles.
Possible flood banks.
E. Rose (NAU) 31 January 1978.
These earthworks are part of a complex of natural glacial features in this valley on either side of stream course running northeast to southwest from here.
Part now woodland, much arable as in east part of NHER 25034, for example.
A. Rogerson, (NLA) 8 February 1991
