Full Description
1974. 'In a flooded pit at Taverham'.
Divers found church silver stolen from Mattishall Burgh and Welbourne in 1972.
It was believed that some silver may still remain in the pit.
Information from (S1).
W. Milligan (NCM) says that in fact this was one of the pits in Costessey south of the river.
