Summary

The site of a large lime kiln, a sugar refinery and an associated narrow gauge railway which was used to remove spoil to settling beds. The lime kiln was closed in 1968, although some of the rails survive.

Cantley refinery was the first in Britain, begun in 1914, but how much of the original structure remains is unknown.
