Summary

This long timber-framed barn dates to the 17th century but has later brickwork. The majority of the fabric is weatherboarding and the roof is thatched. It now lies derelict, surrounded by disused buildings, and was proposed for demolition in 1979.

14 June 1978 and 12 July 1979. Site visited by E. Rose (NAU).
Barn, post medieval, listed building, see (S1).
Long timber-framed barn with brick nogging except south end, weatherboarded. Thatched. Some timber (e.g. some tie beams on upright posts with L-brackets) could be as old as late 17th century, but majority have been replaced.
Original bricks seem 18th century or early 19th, but again mostly modern.
Derelict, and surrounded by disused buildings.
Proposed demolition 1979.
