Summary

In 1978 a number of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds were recovered from the surface of this field, these concentrated on a slightly raised area which displayed darker soil than the surrounding field. Further north a number of worked flints were recovered including ?Mesolithic flakes, Neolithic flakes and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead. In 1989 a Neolithic brown stained polished flint axehead was also recovered.

?Mesolithic small flint flakes.
1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead.

Some pieces perhaps natural.
