1960's. Casual Finds.
'Lots of Roman pottery' was reported as found in this approximate area.
This pottery may actually have been Thetford ware.

1978. Casual Find.
Several sherds of Thetford Ware and an early medieval ginger jar were recovered from a sewer trench off White Hart Street (context 1).
Information from card at Thetford Museum, made out by W. F. Milligan (NCM), see (S2).
17 October 1980. Casual Find.
Further finds were recovered from flowerbeds around this spot, north and east of temporary offices.
Context 2 at location [1]: shoulder bodysherd medieval or early medieval jar.
Context 3 at location [2]: Thetford Ware bodysherd.
Finds held by NCM.
