Full Description
1978. Casual Find.
Sherds of Thetford ware pottery were recovered from a gas pipe trench in London Road.

Before 12 August 2002. Casual Find.
Several pottery sherds were found in a gas trench very close to and to north of the previous finds.
(NGR amended from above).
1.3286 kg of Thetford Ware sherds was idenfitifed, including five jar rims, one costrel rim (complete), seven sagging basal, one flat basal, six body with applied strips, and thirty-three body sherds (including one with diamond roulette and one fired buff). No obvious wasters.
The assemblage also included one body sherd (weighing 13g) of medieval unglazed pottery, probably early medieval,
and a fragment of finger-marked fired clay, reduced with part oxidised surface (weighing 19g).
