Summary

An unidentified object, a piece of baked clay with a stylised horse's snout with flaring nostrils on one side, was found in this garden. The style of the design suggests it may be Saxon.

Object of baked clay found in garden in Back Lane. Around 1.3cm (1/2 inch) long, flat on one side, other side resembles stylised horses snout with flaring nostrils as depicted on some Saxon brooches.
