Summary

When listed in 1951 this two-storey building was recorded as dating to the early 18th century. A subsequent examination in 2000 suggested that it may actually contain the remains of a medieval first floor hall, possibly above shops. One of the rear wings was seen as potentially contemporary, although it could have be later with reused timbers. It appeared that the façade and gables had been replaced in brick in the 17th or 18th century.
