Summary

This is the possible site of an undated ring ditch, visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The feature is cut by the Bichamditch, see NHER 3937, and is close to Bronze Age burial sites, see NHER 4492, but it may be just a natural feature.

Civil Parish BEACHAMWELL, BRECKLAND, NORFOLK

Map

Cropmark, semi circular, resembling a ring ditch cut by the Bichamditch on east. Clear mark in dark green surround. Very probably purely natural, considering the glacial markings in the rest of the field; but proximity of Bronze Age burials NHER 4492 etc. give a measure of doubt.
Located E. Rose (NAU) 10 January 1979.
