1977. Lexham Estate Field 43.
Large circular banked enclosure, in part coinciding with old field boundaries. No ditch except perhaps on west (though this may be a later ditch cutting it). Possible ring ditch in centre.

[1] fieldwalked site and found 11th/12th century sherds including two rims thumb-decorated on top; lead fragment, iron nails of unknown date. Also a flint flake.

Front plate of gilded elongated rectangular medieval buckle plate, end furthest from loop missing; punched contour line; rivet hole in each corner and in centre (two with rivets).
