Summary

It is recorded that in 1846 a medieval gold signet ring depicting a lion rampant was 'found at Wymondham'. The exact nature and location of this discovery are unclear.

'A Roman thumb ring was found at Wymondham and together with various other rings found there was in the possession of Me Joseph Warren of Ixworth' [2] quoted by NAR records.
