Full Description
1963. Stray Find.
Prehistoric pebble macehead. Now held by King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1963.54.1; A589). According to the museum's records this object was found at TL 692 895. This object is described by F. Healy (S1) as possibly quartzite with hour-glass perforation and both ends battered. It is labelled as being from 'Feltwell/Hockwold boundary, which is consistent with the grid ref. listed.
These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
