Summary

A few medieval pottery and roof tiles fragments were recovered from the spoil heap of a building site northwest of the castle. The scarcity of pottery suggests medieval occupation of the village did not spread this far.

Twelve medieval unglazed sherds, four medieval glazed; two roof tile fragments, probably medieval.
Finds from spoilheaps only; as rest of site too far advanced; very little pottery for amount of soil. Indicates little or no medieval occupation?
