Full Description
The site of a chapel. Exact site unknown.
'There was a free-chapel in this town, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the way which leads to it is still called Chapel-gate-lane, but it hath been long since demolished'
See (S1).
E. Rose (NAU), 15 May 1979.
Not named on (S2), but then very little is.
A. Gregory (NAU) was told by a local man that Chapel Gate Lane is the road running east from TM 1180 9310. The site might therefore be near its western end. But note proximity of Baptist Chapel - name might have wandered with the coming of the new chapel.
E. Rose (NAU), 20 January 1982.
