Summary

A number of flint implements were recovered at this location at an unknown date, including Early Neolithic leaf arrowheads and laurel leaves and a Neolithic flaked axehead. Metal-detecting in 2019 and 2021 recovered Middle Saxon coins and a range of other metal objects, including a Late Bronze Age copper alloy awl; a Roman furniture fitting; a Middle Saxon brooch; Middle/Late Saxon strap ends and a brooch; a Late Saxon comb pendant and Anglo-Scandinavian mount; a medieval padlock; medieval/post-medieval silver finger rings and a post-medieval silver dress fastener.

Post-medieval silver pierced mount (apparently the catch-piece from a hook and eye pair).

The medieval/post-medieval silver finger ring and post-medieval silver dress fastener were both disclaimed as Treasure (Refs 2019 T1229 and 2019 T1225 respectively) and returned to the finders.

The medieval/post-medieval silver finger ring was returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2021 T714).
