Pill box. Octagonal, concrete.
On mound camouflaged by bushes, guarded level crossing east of main road south of railway.

A World War Two polygonal type 22 pillbox, defending a searchlight battery (NHER 53456) and a level crossing, is visible on aerial photographs (S2). Still visible in 1971 (S3).
