Summary

The cropmark of ring ditch of unknown date, approximately 39m in diameter and with a ditch approximately 5m wide, is visible on aerial photographs from 1989 and 1996. Metal detecting in 1989 recovered an Early Saxon mount which depicts a human face flanked by birds.

Early Saxon mount, cast bronze, depticts a human face, flanked by bird's heads. Is there trace of continuation of strip from top of head. Tiny rivets through bird's eyes.
