Full Description
1955. In garden of finder on south side of road from Southgate to main road southeast of BM 84.6 - 4' down below roots of old poplar.
Roman pottery - Samian ware depicting gladiator with rivet holes. [1]

Brother of finder claims that samian sherd is from NHER 1553, but note that the 1951 finds from NHER 1553 include figured samian found by source.
