Full Description
17-18 September 1979. Excavation.
Under new road on Bowthorpe Development. Found in topsoil stripping.
Flint well, containing 14th century sherds in fill and spread of late medieval/transitional sherds on old surface.
Well probably abandoned owing to the faulty construction.

Henry II Tealby penny bust F. 1170-80 Raul at Bury St Edmunds.
Edward I silver penny class X. 1302-10.
Henry III long-cross penny cut to halfpenny. Type 5 1251-72 AD.
